Marie Ceccaldi has lived connected to the plants of her native Balagne since her earliest childhood. Myrtle, immortelle, mastic, juniper... The flora of the scrubland ("maquis") has no secret for it.
Casanera was created in 2011. Marie's passion for her island and for organic cosmetics, combined with the savoir-faire of Patrick Paquet, a Corsican perfumer who only works with essential oils, constitute the essence of the brand.
Corsica, a true protected land between the sea and the mountains, offers a flora with abundant dermatological virtues. The Casanera Made in Maquis brand reproduces the nectar of this flora in organic cosmetics and exceptional perfumes.
Casanera products are made in the purest traditional and artisanal style: all wild plants are picked by hand in the morning and distilled according to an ancient procedure in the following hours so as not to lose a drop of their valuable assets. The emulsions are whipped with a whisk as if they were whipped cream and the jars are filled manually.
